Happy holidays everyone! Here are some cool recommendations for the horror and sci-fi fans in your life. I just purchased THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN. This hardbound collection includes the first 20 issues of Neil Gaiman's incredible story, along with bonus materials. It is amazing. DC Comics has collected many other great mini series, including Brad Meltzer's IDENTITY CRISIS, available in soft cover and hard cover editions. FOr horror fans, why not pick up the entire seven volume DARK TOWER series by Stephen King. The Dark Tower is an amazing collection, and Stephen King plans to continue the story in early 2007 with a Marvel Comic mini series. If you know someone who loves horror but has not read all of Stephen King's books, King's THE STAND is one of my all time favorite horror novels and I think it would make a great stocking stuffer. Books always make great gifts, and Subterranean Press has new novels from dozens of authors, many of whom we promote here (William Browning Spencer, John Scalzi, T.E.D. Klein, etc.), so check out the website, which is linked via my recommendations area, for some great gift ideas.

SUPERMAN RETURNS just arrived on DVD and I know that there are a lot of Superman fans out there. If you are looking for DVD collections, I love BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and lost, which both have the first two seasons available. Happy Shopping!
