Hi folks. welcome back to the blog. I will have a lot of recommendations in the future, however today, I have a sad bit of news to pass along. Drew Hayes, creator of Poison Elves, passed away March 23rd, 2007. Poison Elves was one of my favorite comics. In fact, it was the reason I started to pick up comics again in the mid 90's. In the past I have blogged about why I loved Poison Elves so I won't rehash it now. Suffice it to say that reading Poison Elves was a great treat and I remember fondly trying to track down early issues after my friend Mike Wooley recommended the book to me. The joy of reading a new issue was something special and something that rarely happens for me with comics now. Drew died much too young at 37. I am saddened by his passing and I will miss his creativity.
